The first book I remember checking out was from our school library, it was called "Matilda", a cat grew up, had kittens and died -- I cried for days! 		 
  What Valerie does at CLiC
I juggle a lot! CLiC as an organization is committed to collaboration and providing excellent services to our member libraries. My part of that is to steer the course of moving CLiC forward without ever forgetting that helping libraries succeed is why we exist!

When I am not working, I...    
Having married late in life, I've only recently learned what a joy marriage can be! Much of my time this past year went to writing a book for ALA Editions on physical delivery in libraries. I think it will be a great boon to insomniacs everywhere. I also love walking Woofie -- our lab mix, cooking, sewing, reading, swimming, and watching old movies. My goal for next year, start decorating the house...
